Working within a live retail environment, the project required careful planning and coordination to ensure works were carried out safely, efficiently and within tight programme constraints. The scope included the removal of existing structures and ribbed deck reinforced concrete, along with the installation of a complex curved structural steel frame, all delivered by Principle Demolition’s own specialist workforce.
Central to the contract was our ability to integrate demolition and steelwork expertise in-house, reducing interfaces and maintaining quality control throughout the works. Operating alongside live retail operations presented logistical challenges, requiring robust risk management, close stakeholder engagement and skilled onsite execution to maintain safe access and minimise disruption.
